Women’s Indoor Cricket

What is indoor cricket?
Indoor softball cricket is a fast‑paced, social, and accessible version of cricket played indoors. Suitable for all skill levels, it focuses on fun, fitness, and skill development – during the winter months. We play in Devon Women’s Indoor Cricket League.

How does it work?

  • 6 players per team
  • Matches last approximately one hour
  • Batters play in pairs, facing 3 overs each
  • Everyone gets a bat
  • Runs are scored by: running between wickets or hitting specific walls for bonus runs (e.g. 4 or 6 runs for hitting the back wall)

What equipment do I need?

No equipment needed. A softer ball is used, making the game safer and more welcoming for beginners.

When is training and matches?

  • Training: starts around December
  • Matches: January to March
